About Pamela

pam-3The inspiration of my work has always been a personal and emotional response to images I see around me. These can vary from sublime reflections seen in nature or those drawn from more menacing visualisations that create a sense of the unknown. The use of light is a major consideration in my paintings. My work is somewhere between abstract and representational. My aim is to try and translate the emotions that I experience so that a finished work evokes a similar emotional response.

In much of my work, I have painted clouds in various forms, using them as a metaphor for different emotional states and am currently doing the same with water images. My red paintings show how internal expression may be visualized: journeying inside the physical body as it responds to different emotional states.
